2013 ford fusion rear door won t latch.
Ford has redesigned the latches to stop this problem.
The contact owns a 2013 ford fusion.
The contact referenced the failure to nhtsa campaign number.
We are starting to see this a lot at the dealership.
Ford has issued another recall for faulty door latches which can fail to secure a door leading to its possibly coming open while the vehicle is being driven.
This is my 1st answer but does not have to be my only answer.
The 2013 ford fusion has 3 problems reported for door will not latch.
The contact stated that the front and rear passenger s side door failed to latch securely.
The vehicle was not taken to be diagnosed nor repaired.
15v246000 latches locks linkages however the vin was not included.
I experienced the same issue today and am riding around with my car door taped shut because the ford delearship estimates that the cost to rfepair the door latch issue will be around 400.
If the door wil close flush but will not lock the latch jaws on the striker attached to the body.
Back rear passenger door will shut but not latch the latch seems fine you can moved the inside up and down.
The door latch itself will have to be replaced to repair the problem.
This means the striker is loose and has moved or is bent.
Average repair cost is 330 at 53 200 miles.
The piece it latches to inside the car seems fine.
But we have seen a few front doors doing this also.
Car complaints car problems and defect information.
If those are fine then its the latch that is faulty since the jaws are open able to accept the striker.

I am replacing the inside door handle on my 2011 fusion because you can no longer open the door from the inside.
I also show the complete disassembly of a ju.
The door latches on the 2013 and up fusion are breaking causing the doors not to close especially the rear doors.
I called ford about the recall he says mine isn t on there but i kinda find that hard to believe.
