2012 F150 Defrost Door Motor Stuck In Floor Defrost

This is on a 2011 touring it took me some time to figure out where the ac mode actuator was located on my 2011 so i thought i would share here.

I have the new part which includes a motor a bracket and cam type hub assembly that operates the levers for 3 different doors at the same time. A few weeks ago the vent stopped working properly. I have no air from the panel vents. My car has an automatic transmission.

Ac only blows out defrost and floor unable to get air to come out middle front vents. The heat and blower work fine but air always comes out the front vents and hardly out the defrost or floor if at all so i think its the selector. If the door is broken sometimes only hot air will blow through the vents or similarly just cold air. In some cases an electrical motor can burn out or the gears inside the actuator can break causing the defroster door to get stuck.

I have determined it is the mode door actuator. Guess the door was slightly slightly stuck since the defrost is used only on cold months. I won t change off defrost floor setting i replaced the blend door actuator and did not seem to help it my car has 56000 miles. 02 08 2019 by david gomez i have the same problem and actually there are 3 of those things. You need to see if the mode door actuator is. The blend door mixes the hot air with the cold air in the cabin of your ford truck. A climate control system can stop working after a battery replacement as the control prompt of the system is lost and needs to be rebooted by removing the defroster heater fuse for a period of time and then reinserted.

I have a 2007 f150 fx4 which has a problem with the venting it seems to be stuck on dash vents.
