2005 Volvo Xc70 Leak Front Drivers Side Floor

Hi the heater core on your xc70 is located behind the center of the dash essentially atop the transmission hump.

On a volvo xc 90 water is leaking into passenger side floor corner. Also experiencing battery drain from 2 components that were not ever turning off going to sleep. Cost me for a new battery and 480 software update. No evidence of water around the door.

I need to know what could cause this and do i need a mechanic or a car glass repair. We water tested and the leak is coming from the answered by a verified volvo mechanic. The heater core piping is just to the left towards the drivers side so when the heater core leaks it will leak into the driver s side floorboard and not the passenger side as most typically do. Carpet on the front driver s side floor is always soaked.
